this is one of my LTD's. this one had been altered in just about every way possible. but the engine is sound, i have run it in my 75 while rebuilding the original 75 engine. this is the picture used to advertise it. it's actual condition was very poor. so, i have a 75, one very original LTD and this LTD.

and here it is waiting to get on the overnight ferry between Tasmania and mainland OZ. i disposed of the trailer before i left Tas. i just dont like a trailer on a bike...

and here it is all loaded up on the trailer at the ferry terminal in Melbourne the next morning. my other half drove down with the trailer, i did not feel confident of it getting home under it's own steam. it actually broke down while waiting to board the boat. the clutch jammed on. the bike had been sitting , unused for a few years.

It's still a nice looking Wing even if modified into an Interstate.
err, it doesnt look anything like that now. i have removed everything that didnt belong. the first things to go in the bin were the FIFTY TWO extra lights.. yes, 52. :nea: the front guard was replaced with a stock one. the fairing was cut into pieces and offered to the gods of recycling. the seat and panniers are saved and fitted to a bike when we go on a trip. the engine was used in my blue 75 for six months or so.
the exhaust was rusted beyond help , so that was scrap. i have an original horseshoe muffler that needs repair, so that will go on. the gauges were from an 81 model, as was the instrument panel. all binned.
the air horns and driving lights met the same fate.
the only saving grace of this machine is , it is an original Australian delivery LTD. with the original owners manual ( very rare ) and it will be returned to some where near it's original condition. a huge job..... :Egyptian:

If it winds up half as nice as your blue 75 I am sure it will be another gem :good:

well the previous onwner had a different plan going on as best use for them ..... i just seen jpwinger 77 oldwing ....it was just like brand new ....never had to be brought back it was totally original ...36 yrs old and it was in original brand new 77 just as it came off the boat ....

i am sure this ltd you have will be super nice your so skilled ..... :builder:
