anyone using Michelin Commander Tires still? I know they've been discontinued but I have had such good luck with anything from Michelin and I found them on eBay for a great deal so they're on their way to me. Was wondering if people like or dislike their performance.

Hi Joe,not me  .But the sole name michelin should bring some sort of (if you know what I mean) confidence IMHO unless they are made in a country that will leave you guessing. There is also bacthes of tires (like any other types of products)that sometimes are being recalled.I wouldn't doubt in installing michelin tires on my ride if I didn't have the regular dunlops bought that I like.Avon,Bridgestone, metzeller(did I write it correct)and other name brands that now don't come to mind are good, are great choices. They might have different riding feel that you maybe able to detect depending on your driving (pros & cons)felt by rider, but none the less it comes to your likeing. The problem starts when you want to go cheap (I MEAN CHEAP) like people not informed end up buying a overseas tire with a compound & quality control that is not up to quality specs and closer to being a cheap compound that wont keep you safe (lets not even mention rain with bad terrain)It would be nice to try them all out(the name brands).By the way were are yours made at, I don't like Asian tires except from japan.my 2 cents :good:
