Motor Killer - Death by Silicone

This is the very reason i hate silicone used on these motors. I know if you split the block apart you have to use something, but i use Yama bond....and only a very thin coat. Most motors i get have been thur someone else that are always in a hurry ..looking for that quick fix....silicone = (death).
The crank behind the filter screen will be up for sale for a boat anchor...any takers.
Please check your oil filter screen if you have a bike and it's never been done. Save yourself a headace and money...

Very sad. I've tried talking quite a few people out of using silicone for engine seals. Save it for the windshield leaks!

some do it by miles, some by years, some don't care, and end with tears... :crying:

anaerobic sealer I believe its called, have not used it yet on a bike motor but its whats recommended for aluminum transaxle cases.
