it seem that most everyone headed to ohio for vintage days but i headed out west on I-96 and north on m-31 to muskegon, mi. i made a few extra stops because i am still having minor leg cramps from the spasms but made it to muskegon in just over three hours. the ride home was just as boring and looking at the clouds in the distance i though there would be a downpour before i made it home but it didn't rain. some pic's from muskegon

how about we get a late model nighthawk 750 motor and show them how to do it right!!
if i can i'm going to head back to muskegon later this year, the beach area along shoreline drive going south was very nice

Do not be fooled by all the nice bikes.
Although Michigans west coast is an awsome ride from bottom to top, muskegon is far from the top of the list.
Even though they have been working hard to clean up a formerly dingy part of town,it still does not have the draw like Grand Haven,Ludington,Traverse City,Harbor Springs or St Joe.
Do yourself a favor,do come back and visit our west side of this great state, but get off the freeway and see it for what it really is.
Take 12 across to the Blue Star and enjoy the lake veiws from St Joe to Saugatuck.Or ride Lakeshore Drive from holland to Grand Haven.Or 10 across the state to ludington and enjoy M22,one of the greatest roads in the country (according to the travel channel)then follow the lakeshore around to Harbor Springs and experiance M119(the tunnel of trees)

Not trying to bash Muskegon but it is in no way the pride and joy of our coast line.It is acually the one I avoid.

I have been to bike time the first couple years, but a little to much of a Harly Fest for me.

I am only 25 miles from bike week in West Branch Michigan, But everybody I know who goes there rides a Harley also and that's about all you see in their pictures too.
Never been to the West side of the state only the south west corner coming back from Nebraska once.
