A couple of days ago I had my Goldwing out in the yard , I washed it ..... I heard Thunder from a storm moving in , so... I pulled the Goldwing inside the Garge & parked it . I started pulling the bike cover on it from the back, kinda tryin' to hurry before the wind got up . I had a Table Saw sitting on the ground , so as I walked backwards with the cover I fell over the Table Saw , and as I went down I grabbed the handlebars on the Goldwing.... Pulling it right down on top of me as I hit the ground..... Well, the Crash Bars landed right on my right foot . At first I couldn't get my foot out from under it , but my Garage Floor is gravel ( Thank God ) I believe if it had been concrete it would have hurt me a lot worse than it did. But as you can see it still mashed my foot pretty bad. they said no broke bones . but my wife ( retired Nurse ) says.... well.... I can't put here what she said. But ... in few words she said I know it's Broke . but anyway ... I wanted to let you folks know that I have Been there and Tried it...... and a Foot will Never replace a Kick Stand. :smilie_happy:

Sorry for your injury :( Noble of you to make the sacrifice to keep the bike from hitting the ground though ;)

Hang in there Sledge! I hope you heal quick! I cannot tell you how many times I have tried to set the bike on top of me because I tend to keep listening to my tunes when I stop at home and forget to put down the side stand and climb off! :smilie_happy: :Awe:

We went out for a ride yesterday , did fine , the foot is a little sore , but such is life I reckon' ...... I have banged myself up over the years on all kinds of bikes, but 99% of the time it was MY Fault . just part of the Learning Process . :smilie_happy:

Back when my little bro had a very new Ducati (with rego plate DESMO) he also had a girlie thing that once 'threw' itself under the bike as it rolled off the kick stand :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: what a girl :eek:k: I hear she's a little single at the moment, maybe I .................. sorry, drifting of topic (again) :music: :music2: :music:

it has to be something a lot worse than a a few broke foot bones to stop us old guys. :smilie_happy:
