thanks guys, nice to meet you all... the little honda is a 72 cb 450 ... the bike was totally redone from the chopped up powder coated frame to the superbike bars, every nut and bolt... the wheels were custom buchanan's drop center rims with the thickest stainless spokes that could be laced, retro phat firestone coker's( love em or hate em, nobody was ever indifferent to them), the tank was a new nos honda 500 twin tank,,, quite possibly the best cafe tank ever IMHO....lololol....the bike was a blast to ride but a little small for me....i'm 6' 260lbs......when i'm through with the gl 1100 hopefully it will be half as nice.... my normal routine is that i do one bike over the winter , top to bottom, ride it all summer and then sell it in the fall,,, but i'm so infatuated with how the goldwing rides that i might make this my keeper .... the lessons learned on all my previous rides hopefully will help with this gl.....this will end up being a very comfortable rider that looks a little different ( hopefully).... i'll keep you posted... np, just for fun i attached a pic of the bike i did before the cafe... it was a 1964 honda dream 305.... again every nut and bolt , it also was a blast to ride and after one season it went to my best friend who lives a couple of houses down from me...
