Hello,

Just lucked into picking up a '81 GL1100 interstate for $500 yes, $500 and the only thing wrong with it is front fork seals and the worse kickstand i've ever seen! may as well just lay it on its side.

Also, some clown tried to prep this thing for a paint job and took all the badges off it

been cruisin' Ebay looking for replacement badges.

Anyway, nice group here, lots of info.

Welcome and nothing wrong with 500 bucks. Try the seal mate trick with the forks, It worked on my puking 80` shocks and literally no labor involved..cant hurt to try.
Far as the stand I really dont know unless the shocks are too high or the stand is from another bike.
Badges can be had , some are in stock and some are not.. some are expensive, seems sometimes easier to buy the side cover/tank or faring then take off the part and re sell the rest.
