Hi everyone, my name is Brian and I have been fixing up old bikes that others had given up on for the past 6 years. My first was a '49 Royal Enfield J2, then a '71 BSA A65, followed by a '77 Suzuki GS750 and a '79 GS850. Those 2 Suzukis gave me an appreciation of the quality and engineering excellence in Japanese bikes.
My last bike was a new '09 Kawasaki Versys. It was excellent but required no fixing so it bored me. So I just bought my first Goldwing; a 1981 GL1100 standard. It is a real fixer-upper. It had rear-ended a car so the forks are bent and the upper triple tree broken. The front tire had come back and contacted the radiator so it is toast too. The PO had bought new triple trees and a new radiator but just never got around to fixing the bike. I am a sucker for a lost cause so I bought it.
I hope you don't mind a lot of question because I will need all the help I can get.
Thanks
