Hi to everyone!! Just wanted to introduce myself before i posted any questions or anything on here lol. My names seth im 27 and i live in lexington ky...im not the proud owner of a goldwing just yet but i will soon be picking up an 83 from a friend of mine :). I currently own an 82 cb650 that im rebuilding and will be stretching the frame and doing a traditional hardtail and a lot of custom things...forward controls, foot clutch w suicide shift etc etc...Anywho the 83 wing will be more of a daily/trip bike so im not stuck rolling my hardtail when i go on trips...its fun and all but its hell on my back and kidneys riding around 3-400 miles lol. Well thats all for now just wanted to say hi and so far i love the site lots of useful info and nice ppl. Be safe out there.

Thanks guys..and backlander yes it is some beautiful country and a great centralized leaving point for bike trips!! And to steve83 im very excited...even tho im only 27 the old man in me wants a dresser and im a big fan of classic jap bikes..i love the lines and the old technology and the fact that theyre from the same decade i was born i feel i have a connection with them haha. Another reason ive been wanting a wing is because when the wife asks me to stop by the store after work i can oblige and it gives me an excuse not to rush home and park the bike haha plus i see a lot of them around here and ive always loved the look of a bike loaded up for traveling. Not to mention the goldwing is the bike that all other dresser builders have always been chasing..except harley lol they dont mind if u make it back from ur trip or not hahaha jk

Welcome from Michigan
I enjoyed a little riding in kentucky a little over a year ago, fell in love with a little burg called "Fountain Run" where we enjoyed a WWII history lesson from an old timer named sewel, one of the fine folks hangin out at "Anns Old Mill Resturant", a very educational tour of "Kennys Cheese",a lesson about the cival war from the armed gentleman behind the counter in "Gold City" and a self guided tour of BUGTUSSLE (Sorry,no jethro)
One of the most enjoyable trips I have taken.
