I bought my first Goldwing in 1976 and rode it a lot Then in 2002 I bought a brand new Aspencade and put 207,000 miles on it in 2 years Many years later I bought a used 1982 wing when I was selling leather at Rallies for Real Leather then my wife said I was to crazy to ride so for many years I was wingless. Recently a found a 1979 Gl100 with vetter bags and fraring in a barn that hasn't run in 10 years so I am how starting on that project. When it is running I plan to do a ground up restoration So I will be looking for parts and advise as I go along Looking forward to a fun experience Thanks

I ,too, am a new member and an Old Rider. I began riding in 1971 after I got out of the Navy and bought a new Suzuki 500. I rode that bike everywhere and loved every minute of it. A lot of my friends talked me into trading for a dirt bike so I could ride through the woods with them and I admit it was fun. After I moved to Nashville, TN I traded for another street bike, a Yamaha 350D. After I wrecked it one morning at 3am, my partner convinced me to switch to a car. Unfortunately I remained that was after I married until 3 years ago. I convinced my wife that if I bought a Yamaha Virago 250 that I would not immediately die. A year later I traded up for a Yamaha 950 Tourer. Then my cousin and riding buddy bought a 1995 Goldwing and talked me into trading for my 1988 GL1500. I'm glad I did. However, I may have to get a cargo sidecar due to a problem with my left leg. Any hints would be welcome.
