Hello,
Just bought a Black '82 Goldwing Interstate, matches my '81 Silverwing. I've rebuilt the rear caliper and repaired a leaky front shock. #1 cyl fails to fire at low rpms, runs great otherwise. Based on what I've read, I'm thinking idle jet. I'll soon be taking out the carbs for inspection. Thanks for all the helpful information.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Some great info and how-tos here.

Re: cylinder #1 not firing, I've changed the plugs and ran a few cans of Seafoam through the system with no improvement, but #1 has great spark at idle. I've had a few Silverwing carbs apart and I am looking forward to working on the Goldwing carbs. I've been a little hesitant, but after a few weeks of reading up on the topic I feel pretty good about my chances. Thanks again.

Not too bad getting into these carbs really. Can be a bit of a pain getting them out and back in though.
