Thanks for warm welcome this bike does. Not run yet as.the stories go a friend of mines. Neighbor usta ride with his son well the son died the bike sat then the guy tried to start it and the starter was a no go he gave it to my friend and that is how it has sat for the last four years out side the clutch lever is seized ect
your a ways from starting it if your smart theres a routine that works really good for oldwings that have sat a long time ...as soon as you get it home and ready to mess with start a thread on your bike and we can give advice on how to proceed ...jumping the gun aint it
Welcome from Southern California! That's a great lookin' bike, and will be an awesome project! Don't rush, don't force anything, and make no assumptions. Turn the engine by hand, but only after pulling the plugs and squirting a bit of trans fluid into the cylinders. DON'T USE THE STARTER!!! We'll give all the advice you might need, and most of all, enjoy the new toy!
yes steve83 is a master restorer as others here too we wont get into it here in the welcome thread but start one in the restoration forum and we will load you up with what to do ...but first there nothing that hurts a motor more than starting one up that has sat even if its free ...and seems good
