Oil coolers?

JD i like the looks of the lower scoop.....but it blocks the air to the oil filter housing that cools the oil quite a lot ,water pump and the bottom of the motor all those areas have fins on them to cool things off......im not sure i would want one of those.....im having the same deal going on about the crome covers i put on the 83 at the back of the motor compartment ....they look great but i can tell they trap heat .....im about to discide that they are sator cookers .....on the other hand they make good winter gear for riding .....i dont know :headscratch: :mrgreen:
 
WINTER GEAR?
I call mine summer gear.The keep the heat off my legs.But the heat is moved out the louvers and down out the bottem of the moter fine.Bike dont run any hotter with them.I will take them off as the temp drops up here to get a bit of heat.

maybe im all wrong on that ....ive never had anything like that before ....those sure are purdy ....ican see your point tory those covers look like thy cover everything i sure would like a pair
