oil filter gauge

my 1983 aspencade 1100 has a small window on dash has been green up till now but turned yellow yesterday says oil filter on it the oil looks great has about3000+ miles on it is this tellin me to change my oil & filter & if so how do u reset it when done?? thanks denny

There is a slot under the tell-tale that you can insert your key into. This re-sets the indicator.... :good:

Am I reading that right, "8,000 miles" between oil changes? Man, I never go past 2000 without a change.
