Saw this at a job today.
His Dad gave it to the customer of mine.

It's been so long since I've seen one in person, man they are long with a massive hood!
Pic doesn't do it justice, this thing is a beauty.

What year is that, a '68...'69...? My favorite! Chrome bumpers and rocker mouldings! Takes me back to my Hot Wheels days!
He told me but I'm waiting to see if Joel knows what year it is :hihihi:

'71....hard to tell from the side. The front grills/turn sigs would tell for sure. Not a '70, unless someone has changed the side vent panels.
No matter...it's the rong color, anywho. :hihihi:
Still a neat "gift". :good:

Goes to show ya how little I know about Vettes! When you say wrong color, do you mean it's not your favorite, or was that not an original color option? Yup, definately a nice little "gift"!

I use to have a 70 and I couldn't tell by the way the picture was angled and mine was a convertible. Here it is, I was getting it ready to be repainted. Those were the days !!! 350/350 HP balanced engine, four speed, awesome runner.

Heck Steve....everyone knows that "ALL Corvettes are RED...the rest are mistakes...."
:smilie_happy:

For the '70-'72s, the only real tell-tale from the side is the side vent grills. From the pic, it appears that both the horizontal and the vertical edges are chrome. Iirc, the '70s only had the horizontal edges chromed. Actually, the whole grill was chromed, then painted, and the edges cleaned of paint. A pic of the front would tell for sure, as the front grills, and turn signals were different for each year '70-'72.
