I had to run down to Lowe's today, to get a few little items. I parked my bike right beside a nice 1997 1500, he was just about to get on his bike and then turned around and looked at my 81. He shakes his head up and down...oh you got a 550...i shook my head and said nope...it's a 1100. "Oh" he stated, i seen that box looking motor sticking out the side and thought it was a 550. I told him no, it's
all original. Then he jumped on talking about his 40,000 miles he has put on his in the last 3 years, and i ask, have you changed them timing belts since you bought it or were they changed before you got it....he looked at me.... i didn't know it had belts....then i slightly suggested that he might want to consider getting them changed pretty soon if they had not been changed since it was a 97 model....he said he would check into it. Then i told him..when they take all the stuff off your bike to do the belts....you can see that big old box motor you got too... :smilie_happy: he looked at me again... my motor looks like yours...i could not hold it no longer....i started laughing.. :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: ..i said yep....only bigger.... :smilie_happy:

I am surprised that you didn't offer "so you have got a 750" seeing he was only giving you credit for one half of your 1100, it only seems fair to do the same.. :smilie_happy:
