part interchangeability

HI,Looking for some rims for my 82 GL1100I and am getting frustrated when I find some from another model and year, but have no idea if they will fit. Might there be a list of interchangeable parts that is available somewhere? It would save a lot of head banging. Thanks to anyone that can help.

First... Welcome from North TEXAS DFW area.... Well if you go older 81 and back to the first wing.. the rims are taller.. 19 front 17 rear... they might fit but you have to consider the top and front of the rear tired area clearance... my 85 1200 has 16 front and 15 rear.. just for information

1100 wheels interchange to a degree 80-81 are 17 rear 19 front 82-83 wheels are 16 rear and 18 front ...swingarms are different on 80 -81 and really wont work good with 82-83 wheels ...82-83 1100s can use any of the 1100 wheels ok ...
