gl1100a, I would like to make some repairs to the ignition cover, (includes the comp switch's,, various other switches) I have a plastic welder,, ,, shouldn't have touched it,, so it looks worse now,, im guessing this is the weakest point of the bike, with an impossible part to come by.. I have one friend that I can ask for some advise, or if he can fix it.. one hold down screw hole is completely missing, ,, other one was cracked down the bottom,, think I got a fix on it.. Welded a visible ,, looked to be growing crack on the bottom face,, welded from the inside,, looks like I got a weld on it, but the heat went through and jacked the outside up a lil,, I can try and get a pic if it will help,, probly won't b today.. thanx I put the plastic welder down,, found some post on this subject,, wish I woulda looked sooner..
