Problem after Neon coil/relay mod

coil power was connected to starter side or solenoid instead of battery side.

It wasn't, even if it was, I don't think the starter switches on and off during cranking.

Sounds like dirty start button contacts.

Either that, or the relay was grounded through the ignitor circuit instead of the ground circuit...

I misread the schematic on the relay, so the circuits were crossed. :doh: Coil power was the only circuit involved.

Easy fix once I figured it out, but holy cow, what a process.

330 km's on 16.1 litres.
49 MPG (US), 59 MPG (IMP), 4.8L/100 km.

Yeah, that's working fine. No thunder without lightning!
