rear shocks leaking air, repair kits available???

My 82 Aspencade shocks will not hold air.Checked all the fittings several times and found none leaking air.Is there a reapir kit and where can it be found.Some have stated to put 83 shocks as they have a stronger spring rate.If so will they fit the 82 .Thanks for your help

83 are better and will work but there 30yrs old too ...progressive replacement springs and rebuild is the way to go ...progressive are better than 83 by far

The seal part # is: 91257-463-013. You'll need two of them. Take a look at my shock rebuild tutorial for more info...you can do it. :good:

I fitted shocks from a 1200 to mine.

Thanks for all the info.Got to checking on progressives and found a new set for 313.00 free delivery from a dealer.Just seemed a lot easier and a lot less messy.Made the wife happy,wants me to be safe and trusted the new ones more.
