Redo valve guides w/heads in place

All - if there's a thread for this I couldn't find it...

I know there is a procedure to replace the valve guides without removing the heads. I think with a special tool or air pressure..

:beg: Anyone ever done this and is willing to shed some light on the subject? :beg: I don't really want to have to pull the heads off.....

I held the valves closed 2 at a time by feeding 1/4" rope into the plug hole and moving the piston up . The rope pushes against the 2 valves and holds them closed.
Then used some flat plate bolted on using the cam holder bolts to pry the spring down then remove the keepers.
I have pictures in my gallery I think.

:headscratch: Replace the GUIDES without removing the head(s)? Don't think that's gunna be possible, since you need to remove the valves themselves to do anything with the guides.
Perhaps you meant valve SEALS? :blush:

No way the guides can be replaced w/heads installed. I assumed - and hope - he meant guide seals.
