While cleaning the carbs on my 81' wing I noticed the idle jets to be non serviceable. So being a machinist I put my mind to work and came up with a pretty simple plan. I decided to drill and tap the jet for a M3X.5 screw. I drilled down 1/4 inch and tapped it out. Then I installed a nut and washer on a M3 by 20MM long socket head cap screw and bottemed it out in the jet and used the nut as a jack screw per say. Worked like a charm and now my jets are clean as a whistle. BTW, I thought of using a easy out but it is just suicide. If that breaks, which it will, the carb is hosed for good. This is my first post so it won't let me post any pic's yet. If anyone wants a picture pm me.

:thanks:

Pics would be great, I like your method much better than an easy out.
