Hi,

I was going to repalce the old solenoid with a universal I bought at NAPA. The Honda manual says the primary coil resistance should be 3.4 =/- 10% ohms. The universal I bought has no resistance. Will using it potentially damage something else?

:thanks:

Your talking about the starter solenoid right?

I've been running a universal solenoid for a couple years now, no problems.
I believe those Honda specs are for testing the original solenoid, not a design requirement for the electrical system.
