you have to change the faux tank and give some direction/preference, cafe? cruiser? easy rider? low rider?

1200 swingarm has been done, haven't seen a 1500, dunno about the gears tho, maybe go chain drive

at least a 1200 front end with the bad ass wheel

if going with ignition at the back of the engine, go with a custom fuel tank that comes out easy

paint the frame a diff color or nickel plate chrome

gonna need bags? haven't seen much goin on there outsida the usual fare though someone used gl12 bags

saw a bike with a huge, long rear fender that jumped out at me

ditch the cod catcher carb rack

fix

Just how far outside the box and what style are you wanting? Is this to be a remix of stuff that you already have? Or a longer term pricier project? What goals do you have for this build? Oddest look? Hiighest mpg? Most power?

Outside da box, eh? :headscratch:
Cram a 1500 engine in it...wid a couple o hair dryers, a widdle bodywerk, and....?

...it will be a longer term project, i would like to have something way out, not really wantiing a remix of anything..odd and powerful sounds good to me...maybe a show bike for BBQ next year, and if i can get there by then...i will also be asking for a name for it, will also include the forum and forum members with this project.

Some of the things you find that are hidden. A valve cover bolt, with the head cut off and glued to the outer cover--- :headscratch: Well...i did find out why. This is the motor i am working on for this New Project. The bolt hole, with the ear broke off & also has a tap broke off in it... :head bang: :sensored: . :sensored: :sensored:

I actually had that happen to me too! After the tap broke off, I had to use a Dremmel to carve it out of the hole, re-drill and tap, install a helicoil.

What a neat idea, really got my mind thinking. I guess it also depends on your skill level with welding, frame modification, plastic work, and ingenuity. I could see a modified frame, either chopper or sport bike, custom plastic, different wheels, the options are endless.
Like probably many of you I have watched the builds by Orange county choppers and others, at least until it became a Paton place soap. I always appreciated the creativity and imagination they have. However they have the equipment to create whatever they want.

Good luck on your build, I’m sure this group will come up with some awesome ideas.

I'd go adventure/tourer style like a BMW 1200 GS. A little higher suspension, a little more aggressive tread tires. Ready to log long miles over highway or gravel!

Hard to tell what happened, :headscratch: people get sidetracked & forget. Life get's in the way, seem's like it happens while we're busy making other plans! :whistling:

hmmmm if i was to buy something different ..id buy the honda fury chopprr like bike.....had bikes like that back in day....and the honda bike fury is well done....stock as is ....always enjoyed my chooper bikes and started my whole deal on modding things ...the way i wanted them.....but at 10,000$ im sure i wont get one Lol
