i put my nephew dewey on the nighthawk 450 tuesday and he has been riding up and down the block every day since then. soon we'll be taking short rides together and he will have to take the mfs class to get licensed but he is already talking about getting a goldwing :Egyptian:

don't laugh. last year i was talking to a friend who rides a 1200 aspencade. he said his wing was his first and and only bike. i asked him " so what did you learn to ride on ?" his reply " my wing! "

how about a nighthawk 550 or 650, they require little maintanance once fixed up. hyd adjusted valves, electronic ignition, shaft drive

A KZ750 twin is real simple and easy to work on. Near bullet proof and has gobs of torque. 80s models have electronic ignition.
