I like the idea of the Goo but haven't tried it. I have a great motorcycle tire shop that fits and balances without any dramas. That said I can't buy cheap online tires like you can in the states.

I use Dyna beads. In fact, I have used the same beads over and over and over again. I just use a hole saw and drain the beads out and reuse them. Just remember to remove the lead weights.

I'm running the Couteract balance beads front and rear and love them. A nail ruined a tire with a hundred miles on it and I reused them with the replacement. They don't fall out of the tire too easily when breaking it down. I think the kit was about 26.00 dollars and guess could be used many times.

Damn, done edited this post four times, must be brain dead tonight. :smilie_happy:

I don't know,
Lots of guys swear by the beads.
I'd have to see them bring a tire into balance on a spin balancer machine while I was standing there to be convinced.

It isn't just their ability to bring a tire into balance on a machine but also that they can quickly bring a tire into balance in the event of an unforeseen obstacle in the road. I hit a squirrel the other day and I could feel it in the handle bars that there was a vibration and I could also feel that it the vibration was counteracted on by the beads.

 The horror!! (Poor little feller) Did ya at least have squirrel stew afterwards? :smilie_happy:

I have used dyna beads on three sets of tires. I get 10.000-15,00 miles on them now. I used to only get 6,000-8,000. Plus I do not get cupping with the beads.

Since I am planning on the trip to Alaska I think I will switch to Harley D stuff which is a liquid balancer and if a nail gets in the tire it supposed to seal it up.

The horror? Have you ever noticed how many tree rats there are in our area? :whip:

Never really liked squirrel meat when I was a kid so I never gave it a thought.

Ours fly from tree to tree!!

Wel just my opinion but I would not consider the sealant stuff, just dont like goop, The only video I seen of the dyna beads is a drill with a plastic bottle and the beads inside balancing it out. It doesnt inspire confidence, I too would like to see a full size tire run at speeds , I would think they could have done that with all the beads they sold.
There is a thread I was reading over at Adventure riders site and there was guys it worked for and guys that said never again.
I know weights are tried and true so I`ll just stick to them.
Guys, does the dot on the tire line up with the valve stem or opposite the stem?

Some of the goop makes a mess, rideons claim to fame is it goes semi firm in the tire and not all over the rim

I was just investigating the Ride On stuff and dont know what they mean by dose, It says a tire 130/90/17 needs 8 doses, does that mean 8-8oz bottles? If that is right at 13 some a bottle that is one expensive balance.

I have always been told that the dot goes at the valve stem because that is the lightest area on the tire and the valve stem will help to overcome that.

Solid weights on the rims will only balance a tire well at the time they are installed. As you ride, the tire wears, but the weight(s) remain the same. Constant re-balancing is needed to keep the tire/rim in balance.
I've been using the Dyna Beads in the last 4-5 tires I've put on mine....the SAME beads I originally bought a couple of years ago. They do work. I don't really care if the tires are a little out of balance below 30mph, if they even are. I don't ride at 30mph, except on my way to, or down from, 75mph. I'm a bead believer.

Using any kind of a liquid goop in a tire may help balance, or even seal a puncture(to a point), but....have any of ya ever had to dis-mount/change a tire that had that crap in it? :Awe: It ain't pretty.... :swoon:

I need new rear tire for my 82 wing and I ordered my parts and tools needed.

My question is which product does anyone think is better or are both complete B.S.?

Option 1: --"GOO"-- https://www.bikebandit.com/ride-on-tps-m ... nd-sealant

Option 2: --"BEADS"-- https://www.bikebandit.com/counteract-ti ... cing-beads

I am leaning towards the goo because it is more economical, or should I take it to shop and have them throw a weight on my rim there?

If you wanna keep it real to you, through the weight on at your house. Balance the tires with the stick on weights, and have fun...pluse you save the shop book time for doing what you can do in a half hour.
