I hope this is the right place to ask a question. .... today I stripped off most of the body work on my Goldwing , Under the fake Gas Tank , everything is really dirty , and there is a box , about 3 X 5 with wires into one end of it , looks like it should be held down with a couple of screws on one end... but my question is , should I get this box Wet ??? I think most everthing would be ok to spray down and clean, But this Box....... well, might not be a good idea . . . . Years ago I did same thing with a Kaw. Mach 1 three Cyl. 2 stroke ... the boxs was $300 many years ago... I don't want a repeat of that again. ... if this is the wrong place to ask this , I'm sorry.

Right here is ok for your question.

I like to keep everything under the false tank dry. There are a lot of connectors and plugs, also the fuse panel that should be kept dry.
The box your referring to sounds like for the self cancelling signals. That should be kept dry.

Good Deal , Thank you for the advice , I am taking all the painted parts off so I can start sanding that stuff down while the weather is bad here , and I need to rebuild the Carbs also....I guess I'll just clean all that best I can with a brush and rags , Thanks again for your help... I find myself reading more and more in here , I have had many motor cycles in my life but just now getting into Goldwings, and I could write a book on all that I DON'T know about them.... :smilie_happy:

Hi Joedrum , I play a little of many things... .Guitar , Banjo , Piano , Bass , Dobro , Drums .... But on stage for many years I played Guitar and did the lead Vocals , I played for a living for years . But...... just local , Night Clubs , I have played around Nashville a little.......but never had the money or connections to do the Nashville thing. .... do you play ??? Drums maybe ??

yes drums since ive been in indiana or home ive been watching youtube music and came accross myself playing in daytona at a place called finnigins but as of yet i dont know how to move it like everybody dose i cant even post a picture yet these computers are amazing but not with me in the driver seat. im suppose to play bikeweek in daytona but things seem to be falling apart. im like a hired gun i can walk into just about anything and pull it off. have sticks will travel.

Good deal ,what kind of stuff are you playing ??? Yeah I have played quite a bit of fill in myself , but , It's so hard to be good with a strange band , no time to work anything up or smooth anything out . I love to play but I always had problems playing for people who really don't care who is playing , I only did the club thing for the money . I play nowdays with friends just for fun...

at one time or another ive played just about everything but my roots are rock southern rock ive enven played with metal bands whos members youger than my kids thats not to excluled jazz blues contry big band swing about the only thing i havnt done marching band rudamental drumming im sure i would fall right on my face i just have no ear for it. ive played some petty big deals with no actual playing before hand. once i took my wife with me for a week long deal. we been driving all night and most of the next day and she said when do you have to play i said about 8 she said when are you going to practice and i said about 8 she laugh and laugh knowing i hadnt played with these people for yrs but she ate her laughter when we just rock the place. drumming makes this a whole lot easier to do than other instruments i think
