You WILL need some type of converter - btw; I was able to wire mine in and fit it under the seat... I'm thinking I have a picture of that somewhere in my Tag Along build thread...

I tested the 1157 lights that are in the trailer setup and they sure are bright! I may leave the 4 wire setup just as wired and only add the LED brake light like I did on the trunk of the bike. The LED strips are waterproof and attached with adhesive and they sure are bright!
