I bought this Fairing real cheap. I want to fix it, paint it & find some lowers for it. Does anyone know what model this is? Is one size fits all when it comes for lowers for a GL1000? If not what should I be looking for in Vetter Lowers?
Thanks
Lou

That's a Windjammer 5 (should be on the id plate where the connector plug is.) Earlier models did not have that nose piece around the headlight. Only lowers for a Windjammer 5 will fit. Of course with some ingenuity anything can be MADE to fit.

AFAIK turn signals, windshield, headlight assembly, cycle sound are compatible with the Windjammer 4 and the Windjammer SS. If you could find a 4 or SS missing any of the aforementioned parts, real cheep, you'll have a much easier time finding lowers to fit it.

Definitely a Windjammer 5... you can tell by the black skirt around the headlight and as roncar stated, only lowers for a Windjammer 5 were made to fit. The attach point is much flatter and straight on the 5 than on the other Windjammers. With the right amount of heat applies to lowers for the other Windjammers, they may be convinced to fit.
