Waiting for the Snow

3"-4" forecast for Central Illinois today, winds 10mph, chill factor of 2F. I think I'll set next to the heater and watch as the ground turns white again. High of 65F forecast later this week. :heat:

If you don't like Illinois weather, just wait, it will change!!

Similar here. It was up to a sweltering 10 degrees here yesterday. Not including windchill that was the high temp. It later cooled way down. BTW I hate winter!

Even for here, we have had an exceptionally mild winter. No snow, sleet or ice of any kind. I think it's only touched just below freezing 2 or 3 mornings for the low temp only. Whats worse, the horrendous heat of the tropical summers down here or the frozen wasteland tundra of the north hmmmm, I would prefer some of each and 4 distinct seasons.

Yep, I have family there.
I lived in Huntington WV over 3 years, love area, scenery, roads, and climate.
Spent a fortune try to make a business work up there.
Bottomline,
stopped beating a deadhorse economically/financially and came back to Texas where seldom is heard a discouraging word, and you can make a decent living.

I'm still riding too, but not on days when the temps are below freezing and the roads are wet, and it's been like that for almost two weeks straight!!!

Cold doesn't bother me, but the sudden impact with the ground from ice does. The good news is, today it is raining buckets so all the roads are getting washed and supposed to have temps in the mid 40's through the rest of the week. arty:

How do trikes handle in the snow?

Mid-60s here yesterday, with 40-50 mph winds. Sat in the garage and worked in the trike rear fairing. It will be done by the end of March!!

77F tomorrow. 78 Thursday. Yawn. (Except that we're getting an Arctic blast...only 59F on Saturday!) Guess I'll be taking our planned ride in my leather.

This round finally quit. About four inches. Not too bad shoveling but not fun either. Fun driving sideways though.
