I'm looking for the plenum and plastic cover for a 1200 - I don't think the year matters. It's to be used in my fuel injection experiment. Whatcha got? How much? And shipping to Altadena, CA 91001...

Thanks to all!!!

Bummer. Oh well it was a thought that might have made it fit. Good to know it's not an option though.

hmmm this is rough I just look at all the pics again ....just no fudge room at all .....I see nothing to modify on stock air box ...

what I di see is perfect hook up to heads with no air box in place ....perfect mounting surface and oringed to seal to something

if I remember right 1200 airbox and filter in all dosnt line up in 1100 frame anyway ...mine had room for filter only ...filter encloser housing wont go on to far back and hits frame ....

it seems to me you need to start thinking custom made not modified air box ....

I'm getting an empty 1200 plenum to experiment with. It has the mounting surfaces I need, and the throttle linkage and WOT switch mount also. It will definately be cut and made custom.

the intake horns seal to the heads, but there is about a 3-4mm difference in their port diameters. The 1100 heads have larger ports than the EFI intakes. I wonder what this will do to the mixture flow - slow it down slightly just before the intake valve, and probably introduce some turbulance as well. There isn't enough metal on the horns to enlarge them enough to match the head ports. 1200 heads maybe??? Will they seal properly, and will the valves clear when bolting 'em up to an 1100??? Hmmmm...

I'm thinking the 1000 heads might be a better fit and not involve the possible issues of oil flow to hydraulic lifters. 1100 heads have the largest ports and valves I think.

Still thinking about use of the 1100 plenum. Could one work if the throttle bodies had spacers between them and the plenum? Like carb risers? :headscratch:
