Put carbs back on saw no change in power. The #1 cylinder header cool to the touch (but have spark)must still be flooding. Did notice temp was higher than normal. Looked and radiator was low and the oil milky. Just what I needed. Its not smoking out the pipes or leaking on the ground that mean Head Gaskets ??? Any other test to make sure its the gasket not a water pump or anything elses?????

disconnect overflow hose at radiator. hook-up rubber hose that will reach floor. fill small clear soda bottle with water and stick hose in below water level. run bike at 3k rpms thru 2 fan cycles. little to no bubbles good. lots or violent bubbling sayd blown head gasket

I had some water leaking into the oil. Pulled the water pump thereis a dent in the big o-ring The bearings seem good alittle wobble, play what ever you want to call it. Should it be solid no play or wobble ? Just trying to save 160 dollars

If the o-ring you're talking about is the larger diameter one of the two, that would allow coolant to leak out thru the weep hole before it ever got to the engine oil, unless the weep hole was stopped up. The smaller diameter o-ring seals the pump against the cover in the rear of the pump. If it is damaged, it would allow oil to run out the weep hole.
From what I have seen, the only way for oil/water to mix is if the seals on the impeller bearings themselves are not sealing. If that is the case, you should also have oil and/or coolant leaking out of the weep hole, also.
And yes..there really should be NO play in the impeller at all. ANY play means the bearings are worn/loose.

Below is a pic of my old wp, with the leaking seals on the bearings....you can ONLY see the rear seal on the rear bearing with the water pump removed.
