So Saturday I found myself in the automotive section of our neighborhood Lame*Mart while the wife was shopping for gawd knows what and I started looking at the tyre repair stuff with Joel in mind... but I digress :?. Anyway, I noticed one of the plug kits had CO2 cartridges to re-inflate the tire after the repair. I've been wondering about this all day.

"Would any gas we could put in a tyre to inflate it be the same in terms of maintaining a certain psi, CO2, nitrogen, regular air?"

~O~

I've read nitrogen fares better but I have no experience with it. co2 is convenient for roadside repairs.

Nitrogen is more stable, as far as keeping a specific pressure. As Slab states, the C02 cartridges are handy for on the road repairs if you don't have a compressor....which I do....but thanks for looking out for me. :cheeky:

Love my co2 repair kits for peace of mind. Just make sure that you have more than 2 co2 canisters if you want full pressure ( I carry 4 in the kit now). :good:
