You know that area on top of the heads, under the carbs? The first thing I found there was a penny back when I had to change out my leaking o rings. Well today was a beautiful day here in the desert so I took old girlfriend for a bath. After I parked her in a stall at my favorite car wash I did my usual walk around, and something catches my eye...wtf? On top of my right head was a chicken bone, part of a chicken wing to be exact. :smilie_happy: No meat, picked clean. I have a thing about chicken bones...wing bones in particular. One day I was standing behind the hospital having a smoke, and the same kind of wing bone fell at my feet. There was no one around for as far as I could see, so it couldn't have been thrown. Somebody please tell me why I'm being haunted by wing bones. :?

 You been meesin wid dat Voo-Doo woman named Miss Rudolph? You know...that woman wid a monkey paw tied around her neck, and a three legged monkey?
:smilie_happy:
Maybe it gets so hot there on LV that bird is just spontaneously combusting, and fallin on ya?

Most I ever seen under my carbs, udder than the engine, was a chunk of chewin gum...

I'm with AApple- somebody's put the monkey-paw voodoo woman on you- you had any problems with anybody from down on the bayou lately????

What you need to do is get yourself a big Hog-bone- maybe a couple of them- strap one across the handlebars and one across the back.... Hog-bone curse beats chickenwing curse everytime!!!

:cool!: Hey O, I think it's an omen for you to sell your bike at an outragiously low price :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy:

Yeh to ME!!!
I found coolant under my carbs so I replaced to O rings on the crossover pipe. Good to go! :whistling:

A screw driver and a 8mm socket

the socket I replaced after weeks of head scratching and wonder at where the heck I left it but the screw driver ain't mine, well it is now but I got no idea where it came from. lucky really, could have holed the radiator (or my leg) on the way in there :music:

Hey Dave what mufflers are those on Rhonda? Are they quiet? I'm wanting to make both my 1100s whisper quiet.

it looks like upside down stock pipes off a 1000 that have been guted with stait pipe added all the way back .....a muffler could be put in the 4" strait pipes to make it quiet ....thats my guess .....my mongruel was setup that way .....there just not tured upside down .....daves looks kinda kool and different

Not that comlicated Joe, std headers with mid section and cross over pipe from a 2007 900 Honda welded in and slip-on mufflers from the same bike. They are very quiet, I have hammered a 3/4 steel rod 2 feet into them and they are still to quiet. My Honda dealer says he has 8 or 9 more sets if I want them, seems most owners swap em out for a high performance setup. I am hoping to try that high setup soon as a crash damaged set comes around :music:

Unfortunetly where I live if I find something under my carbs it will be a packrat nest. They have already cost me several hundred dollars in repairs on vehicles from making nests and chewing on wires and hoses.
