Have had wings in the past.Looking to get another ,but want something older.Have been looking at the 1000 and the 1100.Like the looks of the 75 to 77.Any recomendations as to problems, dont want it to be too big of a project, as I do have a new 1700 as my driver. Thanks for any suggestions

at this stage the 1000 are 30 plus yrs old ...its seems most need wiring gone through ...carbs are usaly next biggest thing ...there are runners out there also but all seem to be project rather big till you get to know them and how they work ...once made reliable there quite the ride......welcome to classic

i have a 86 1200 sei and a 75 wing i like both and they are great ridding machines the 75 has now gone to a show bike while i ride the sei for my trips. have put a great deal of money in the 75 changed coils and ign to electronic, added a lot of chrome change carbs to 82 1100 carbs twice til i get them to work. added fan regulator and of course vetter fairing and saddlebags with trunk. once finished it runs like a scared rabbit and is still great for touring. just sayin.

Well I did it.Just bought a 1982 Aspencade.Runs good, looks good , the odometer reads 16,000.miles looks to be right for the condition of the bike. Thanks for all your help and suggestions, just needed to pull the trigger and do it.Ill probablly be using this sight alot.
