hmmm well randy the saying is good ... theres something about riding a bike .. thats seems like the days of horse riding ... an indepence from other things ...and a oneness with the bike or beast ... then with the bike theres also a mechanical oneness to owners of oldwing bikes like ours and the things we do to keep them going ....the freedom of open road travel on a bike is second to nothing i know of ... makes almost any travel fun ....

Joe said it good how I feel.

"Riding a bike" to me is rather boring but once I make the bike my own then I add the element of satisfaction and that to me is what it's all about.
When I rented a 1800, though smooth as a couch going down the road and gobs of power it just wasn't part of me. Hard to explain.

These two things pretty much sum up why I ride.

Damn! I'm guilty of quite a few of those things... and proud of it! :music:

Someone said it is the same reason a dog sticks his head out the window, it just feels right :good: :moped:

The freedom, the power, the air, just because we can! I too am guilty of quite a few of the above mentioned. Some people have tattoos and or piercings to be different, I ride a custom bike of my own design, built with my own hands, just because I can!

Well y'all know so I don't have to splain it to you.... lol

Besides it is fun.. I experience more of the places I go through... I don't need mental therapy... I enjoy that unspoken brotherhood of meeting others and exchanging a wave... because my wing is the only bike at work.. although others have 2 wheels that never bring them... I ride expecting to get wet, cold even living in TEXAS, same when in AZ... to save gas so the wife can haul things on weekends in the cage.. it just feels right
