OOPs sorry dan,I bet this is the same one posted in "lets ride motorcycles"

With this "state of the art" hughesnet internet service I have out in the sticks,I wasnt able to open your link. But now I recognise the title to the link.

It is worth viewing more than once...We all have our reasons for riding....but it keeps us young at hart and mind is my reason....Besides at my age i don;t rece Motocross or enduros any more so I have to do something to keep the wind in my hair amd the bugs on my teeth :smilie_happy: :salute:

That's a good video Lou!
It sums it up for me very well.

I was cut off by a left turner cage when I was 16.
Took me almost 30 years to get back on and I'm glad I did.

I feel more alive when riding and when life ties me up like a knot and pulls me away from what I love, I have to remember why I ride, which I haven't been doing enough of.

To the anti motorcycle folks out there, it is so true the saying, if you have to ask why ride a motorcycle, you wouldn't understand.

But it is good that they are out there and not riding as it would get awfully crowded out there if everyone rode.

A rider I spoke to recently said that buying the bike and returning to riding was saving him from depression and possibly his life. He said no matter how bad things were if he went for a ride and experienced the smells and beauty of the bush he forgot all his problems.

You hit it right on the head Dan

I use my bike not only for enjoyment but also commuting; my round trip is just under a hundred miles and the bike turns it into a daily adventure. Sure it is the same road at the same times of the day but the ride almost seems new each day. That probably doesn’t make much sense but it just seems that way. I think one reason is that my situational awareness is much keener while ridding. I don’t listen to the radio but just take in the environment on each ride.
In the truck, my mind wonders, the radio blares, the phone rings, the wife wants to talk, and the world is viewed behind heated or air conditioned glass. I have given up ridding in the rain as much as possible but other than that I ride year round, I actually enjoy the winter ridding more than the summer heat.

I am jealous of those that can ride their bike on a more regular basis. Atm I am working about 60ks away over the river near the Brisbane airport and I am riding as much as possible and enjoying every minute even with all the city traffic. :good:
