I've ridden on the short side of a pond or skimmed a stream a time or two in my youth, but I would have NEVER thought about going off a ramp first!

Yeah water skippin is a big thing with sleds now a days, did some short skippin myself years back on an old Panther, water was not real deep either.

Here in the state of Maine they made it illegal to cross open water on snowmobile, it must be fun cause if it is they seem to make a law against it here.

I am not sure if they still have them around these parts or not, but they had drag races on ponds/lakes when I was younger.

I don't care how the rest roll. I don't see any aspect of winter that's "fun".

winter easy compared to dealing with the economy now...about 100 fold ... at least winter turns to spring ....
