i know we have the scematics in the gallery :read: but it don't help when all they look like are pretty colored limes. is there anyone who could do a tutorial with pics. for us dummies with real wires?and where they go. then maybe when we look at the scematics we would maybe under stand what we were seeing. :rtfm: just a thought. :thanks: bill

You don't need no stinkin schematics!! Just cut and splice...if the fuse pops...it was wrong! :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: :smilie_happy: :mrgreen:
 
Hmmm...a wiring diagram made out of real wires, attached to the actual components, but run in a way that would be easily comprehended by anyone.... :ahem:
Sounds like a pretty substantial undertaking. I have seen hardwired diagrams like that for automotive systems, but only for specific systems, such as headlights, horn circuits, turn sigs, etc., but not the entire vehicle at once.....
Wiring diagrams are not really all that technical...the main problem with them is the size...they're so danged SMALL....you tend to get cross-eyed looking at them. :read: An enlarged diagram is a definite help...
 
ok like on the altanater build where do the wires go from the alt. does one go to the batteryand to what else?

With some add on alternators it is just a wire to the battery and one to ground. Schematics aren't that hard to understand if you can see them. Legend on them explains the wire codes and ground sign. You pretty much have to follow it one wire at a time. I sometimes use the edge of a piece of paper like a ruler to follow the wires on the diagrams.
