I don't know I this has been discussed here before but if you use a late model Cbr600 (FH008) unit which is Mofsett it is a lot more efficient and kinder to the stator.

JD,

Yeah, someone on ngw told me to run a wire from there to the black wire on the regulator. I am a little confused about this tho.... so I might have to post some pics. I rather learn how to do this but elec. is not my strong suit. I can follow directions if I understand them!

thanks

well you unplug 1000 regulator l it has three wires on the connector from the wiring harnest to the regulator one post is the black wire ...you can put a connector on a wire and plug right in there ....on the rectifier plug of the wiring harnest you will see one open spot ...if you have the right connector you can put it on the wire and it will slip and lock into the empty spot ...I didn't do this as I was just checking to see if it worked ...and just temp wired it ...it dose work ... personally I don't like the huge connector and im tossing it to keep wires more separated so heat wont be such a factor in stator failure ..... on the 1200 moded 1000 bike of mine hooch
