yes 79 like mine had the ears like 1100...some place I seen had those after market screw in deals ...but they were no deal if I remember right it was like 20$ plus apiece including shipping

Being cheep ($20+ each for a t/s mount is not in my budget,) I found that 1/4" pipe threads went right in. Didn't have what I needed, so off to Home Depot. Came up with this at ~$3 per side ($6.25 total, tax included.) 1/4" pipe nipple and 1/4" to 1/2" adapter. Not perfect but once mounted you have to look close to tell the difference.

RC: I may try that if and when I come up with some oem front sigs. I didn't think I was going this route a while back when I had a spare set - which went with the 75 I sold. Sold the fairing/bag setup I bought for this bike.

When I keep the stuff I don't need it and it takes up space - when I get rid of it because I think I'll never need it - I end up having to buy something to replace it.

this is not an inexpensive hobby.

Aside from the oem setup I might get rid of the stock ears and do something different or attach a plate to the ear where the sigs go drill a hole in that and attach/bolt some other type of sig to that.

Reminds me of a conversation with my dad just weeks before he passed.

We were in the back yard looking over his 'treasure' collection when he said, "I know I'll never use 95% of this stuff. But I don't know which 5% to keep."

he nailed it!

I have been thinking to let go of a bunch parts and a couple bikes - get down to one ride - and think a little less about what isn't getting done.
