I went ahead and bought a Ricks Motorsport Electrics aftermarket on ebay for 25 bucks. I figured at least it has a name behind it. Will post how it works out once it gets here.

My starter solenoid is getting a little flaky. Has anyone tried the aftermarket solenoids, and if so had good luck with them. They are a lot less money than the OEM. Anyone disassembled the OEM and cleaned contacts successfully?

I have always ended up regretting using any seal other than OEM on any bike. I have some aftermarkets on a Suzuki I need to replace now that are less than a year old. OEM seem to hold up the best provided there are no other issues that cause them to leak.

I had a feeling that might be the case. I only see 3 in AZ, and I know I have seen many more than that post.

You might consider requiring at least a zipcode when new users register, if that would allow you to map them.

Was thinking of trying that myself about a year ago.. but never got any further than a little research. The Metro and Tracker throttle bodys were ones I thought looked promising. Glad to see someone else thought so also. Can't wait to see pics of it.

But the bypass only opens if the filter is clogged and the oil cannot flow thru it. The oil will flow thru the easiest path, and as long as the filter is not clogged that will be thru the filter, and not the bypass valve. I would be careful of putting a stronger spring in and possibly defeating...

I was rather disappointed with the sound quality of the headset I got from J&M. I have heard good reviews for EdSets and would probably try them next time.

Personally I shy away from purchasing vehicles that have K&N filters on them. They are great for racing, they do flow more air, but in test I have read they do not filter as well as a standard paper filter. Some sources of info are Motor Oil Bible, and Bob is the Oil Guy, both available online...

I just wish they could at least learn the difference between an automatic and a semi-automatic firearm.

If you check them before you put the slides on you can also see the fuel level in the jet where the needles go, and see that they are all the same level. If you have fuel running out of any of them either the level is way off or you have a needle and seat leaking. Always a good idea to check...

100% correct! Alot of the early 80's bikes have markings like these left over from when they had a headlight switch. Both of my early 80's Kawasaki also have this.

Does anyone have a Camp Trailer you tow with your bike? If so, what type is it and how do you like it? I have found an older Cycle Kamp trailer for a pretty good price, and was wondering if anyone has ever had one of them, and their opinion of it.
