How to replace GL1000 1975 rear master cylinder

I modded in a master from a CBR. Had to make a bracket to extend a mounting hole and get a new brake line made up. Works really well.

    Found something… pics coming soon!

Sorry, forgot about the 1200 valve adjusters, a different breed. The rocker center shaft has to be free to rotate so it can adjust the valve lash. The hydro adjuster rotates it.

Is that the same engine with the knock in the earlier video? Very surprised it could even run if so.

    Shaft leak

That looks like grease coming out of the final drive. Mine would do that for a few hundred miles after reassembly and fresh grease. I might overdo it on the grease.

    1985 GL1200 Limited ECU Replacement/Upgrade - Part 2

I replaced the resistors with a solid copper wire because I couldn't see a reason to have resistor plugs as well as resistor caps. There wasn't any real difference in any performance that I could tell.

Motor tech talk about my dive into EFI ON A C4 VETTE TUNE PORT INJECTION

Kind of hard to get the performance stuff any more. Back in the day there were performance shops all over, displaying aluminum intakes, Holley carbs, Distributors. Those were the days.

    Oil leaking through weap hole

Its tricky getting the surfaces clean and getting the Orings on the front cover positioned, but with patience and some grease to hold the Orings in place, it's not that bad.

Tap water for temporary. Distilled water probably a good idea if you have hard water. I've used nothing but tap and never had any problems.

Can't stop gas leaking past float needles

Can take quite awhile to burn out of the pipes as they heat further back.
