    78 gl Ignition switch

    I can vouch for the ignition switch cleaning--at least for making that part working surprisingly well. I had nothing through it, but just a little scraping and cleaning and all fine--and came apart and went back together very solidly.

    Hello and thanks for the welcome all! It seems all I do is take mine more (gently) apart to check things before doing a fire up, but hey, it's cold out there, so I've got time. I've appreciated what I've been able to learn here. Keep up the good work, everyone!

    Hello: I just joined after buying a 1977 GL1000 project. It's not bad, but been sitting outside for 2 years. Initial shine up is going well with some pleasant mechanical surprises--though it's shorted out. The plan is to try to see if it runs then pull carbs and so some more thorough...
