    Relay fuse panel feed Mod

Good deal, Dan. I have been thinking about ways to help voltage flow. What size wire do you recommend?

    LED Q's

Pony, did you ever add the heated gear? How many watts do they pull? I have led bulbs in my brake lights and blinkers and I am able to run 70 watts with worth of fog lights with no problem.

What is your motorcycle guilty pleasure?

    Intoxicating!

What is your motorcycle guilty pleasure?

Not strictly related to exhaust tone. Whatever your guilty pleasure is when it comes to motorcycling.

What is your motorcycle guilty pleasure?

Joe, I can't imagine you with a bike that was not tweaked. It would be like learning there was no Santa Claus all over again.

What is your motorcycle guilty pleasure?

So, what is your guilty pleasure when it comes to motorcycles? What do you like but maybe you don't talk about it a lot? For me, it is that I like reasonably loud Harleys and other single pin vtwins. I am not talking the ones that rattle your car windows, but the ones that have enough exhaust...

Best quick tip or easy fixes you got here.

I don't know if this is bunk or legitimate, but I was always taught that if you pour a little water in the carbs while your car/bike is running it will help burn carbon off your valves and pistons. You gotta make sure to keep it running while you do it. Also, I read somewhere that revving a...

    Fuse box and wiring

I have not done a darn thing about the ball bearing. I rode to Louisville this morning and back this afternoon and did not even think about it. That is about 100 miles of interstate each way and it was not an issue. I still want to fix it but I am no longer in a hurry.

    Starter chain

It definitely is, Dan. I am darn pleased, too.

    Starter chain

Went out this morning and cranked her over and it spun right up. Before I rebuilt the starter clutch, a cold night and a cool morning meant having to spin it several times before the clutch would catch and spin the motor over. Considering that it was not that dirty, I wonder if the real...

    Fuse box and wiring

Thanks for the heads up. I may check with a bicycle shop. They carry a variety of sizes, too.

    Fuse box and wiring

So, I am a dope. I checked the kill switch and went ahead and cleaned it (managed to lose the ball bearing the process-put that on the to do list) but that did not fix it. Pulled the false tank cover and discovered that managing to pull apart the connector sending juice to the coils will cause a...

    Fuse box and wiring

True, Joe but at least it ran for a few days. I would be wondering what I had done on the inside of the motor.

    Fuse box and wiring

Well, darn. Went out this morning and the bike would not start. It is acting like it is not getting spark. I pulled the plugs and it is definitely getting fuel. I dried them, put them back in and still no start. I pulled the plug wires and stuck a metal bar in the plug wire and did not see...

    Fuse box and wiring

Did you replace it with a modern fuse panel or find an old wing panel in better shape?

    Fuse box and wiring

Today I noticed that my horn and signals were only working intermittently. This is a pain but the fact that the the brake light functions on that same fuse gives me concern. I came home and checked the fuse and it was fine. Went ahead and switched it out for a new fuse and had the same...

    Starter chain

False tank and seat are back on and took her for a quick two mile ride around the neighborhood. I checked for leaks around the water pump and front cover. No leaks so far. What a relief.

    Starter chain

She is up and running. Seems to be idling well and responding to throttle in the driveway. I let it get hot enough to get the fan running and then shut her down. I am now waiting for her to cool off so I can check the levels on everything and then put the false tank back on. Woot! Pretty...

    Starter chain

I had to run errands at various points in the day but the motor is back in the frame. The lower motor mounts and the upper rear mounts are installed. I still have a way to go before I am done but the worst of it is done. I hope to have it ready to fire up by the end of the day tomorrow.
