Hey all...ive been searching for belts in australia...Dayco...no results...gates..no's listed for wings dont show up...so Im wondering if any of our aussie riders can enlighten me as to who where and how muchy...every time Ive done a search on the puter it takes me to USA or england. Our aussie dollar being worth bugger all to their currency..Ive tried the local repco store for listings for the Gates T274....they dont do Dayco. Yet to try a few others this break when I get home from being away at work.
Ive used Both Gates and Dayco's cross reference option and still nothing. Gates dont list the goldwing but Dayco does...but a big N/A next to it :head bang:
Even if I can find a vehicle that uses same belt...
any help is appreciated...
Oh..and the 1100 timing mark on crank....Line marks up as shown and on the T1 mark on crank...pretty sure thats what manual says..or am I wrong and mark on TDC...??

You have to order them from overseas was my experience. I was able to get Bosch belts for the GL1200 from my local supplier but they didn’t have a local listing for the 274s. Luckily Steve83 replaced the Rats Nest’s belts in 2013.

Yes mate.. Already looked at that page but didn't help with aussie availability.. Knew the part numbers...just trying to source locally but sounds like so far gonna have to be overseas. I'll go thru Amazon I guess

for my 1000s , i reached a deal with the local honda bloke. bought 2 sets for 175. still expensive but far far cheaper than
an engine rebuild..
belt change is essentially the same on 1100 as a 1000. here is a video i made on how i do my belts,, there are also engine rebuild
videos i have done.

Thanks Aussiegold... I've actually watched your video before. I have done belts before but a comment from a friend made me second guess myself...

Here in New Zealand I bought timing belts from BnT Automotive, dont know whether you have a branch in Australia, they were Bosch 87ZA19
Hey Ian... That might just be a big help my bro.... Hey... Go the mighty ABs for wc...

checked on amazon australia today...yup ill get em from there...good pricing too..delivery included.. :)

Ive heard you american blokes talk about NAPA for belts. We have a company over called coventry's...for a while its just been called Cov's... my next door neighbour went their today and apparently they have been bought by NAPA now....so mite stand a chance for belts although im guesiing they will only stock whats available here in Australia..
