1200 and 1100 trunk racks the same?

Thinking I might maybe add a trunk rack to the 1100, I can broaden my horizons in the 1200 category and they do look similar, anyone ever compare or any reason they wouldn't work?

Is this the rack that mounts to the bike or the one that mounts on top of the trunk. I'm pretty sure the cargo/trunk racks that mount to the bike are different but can be adapted.

Yes Slab, it mounts to the top of the trunk, the one in particular I have my eye on mount at the furthest 4 corners all mount stubs are the same length so if the width and length of the 1200 trunk is the same I cant see any reason why it wouldn't work, all mount stubs are equal length just the width and length of the top part 1200 trunk is a concern.
Actually if anyone has a 1200 trunk and can measure it would be great.

My 84 trunk top surface measures about 1' x 2' The rack mounting posts center to center about 7" front to back and 15" side to side. Hope that helps.

My trunk is an after market so it's a bit smaller. So I'd be looking for a rack with mounts set in from the corners some.

Slab , they are set in about an inch in from the corners so a little wiggle room.
