I'm sorely tempted. But I'm a GW newbie. What pitfalls lurk??

It looks like the real deal to me. You need to find out all the maintenance items that have been done. Water pump, timing belts, carbies etc

This time of year you might do better to buy a non runner with title for a winter project. At least if you make it you'll know what's been done. It might end up costing as much or more. Depends on you.
