Been a while since I have been here. Heart troubles and just life in general got in the way of my 1984 GL1200i project. I have a question about engine swapping. I found a 1985 1200 engine from an Aspencade with 75k miles on it for $350. Just wondering if I should pick it up for a spare in case I need it in the future. I should mention that no carbs with it and it won't engage 4th gear, so it would be for parts only. Is it worth the money?

Thanks joedrum. I was thinking his price was high but wasn't for sure. Think I'll just wait for a better one to come around. Don't need an engine right now anyway.
With no carbs, it may have been left sitting outdoors to fill the cylinders with water. Pass.
Tried to get the guy to send some pictures before I went to look at it as it's 30 miles from me. Still no pictures. Probably been out side like you say and half full of water.
