i know we are classic gold wings but does anyone know anything about ,a 1999 v star yamaha, and a 2000 suzuki 250. this is why i'm asking. i have an a fellew how. know old honda and has built a couple coppers one is in an easy rider mag. but he doesn't know newer bikes he and his wife bought them and he had parked them and didn't start them for awhile .he said they will start and idle but when you give them gas to go they stall out. he gave me a price but i got miss daisy to get going anddon't really need 3 none runners but they may be wirth getting if it could be an easy fix.the price is 1500.00 for both.if i could them going i could get my money back easy on either one. any idea's?
thanks bill

hmmmm .....from where your at ....you need to get the 79 going ,,,,once success there then you can treat yourself to more .....im not sure exactly where your at on it .....

on the other bikes i dont know them either but punch it on and learn about them.... fuel system spark system ...look at cost of parts ....

id get the 79 going first ...i bet it will still be there

I agree get your 79 going first. It's too easy to get too busy and have too much to do then nothing gets done.
That's what happens to me.
I agree! My bike is running well and I find that I am not even keeping up with ordinary maintenance! MBS....and I would pull my hair out! (Course, not having the money to do work on multiple bikes is a deterrent too!)

IMHO these are some very wise words! Don't want to bite more than you can chew @ one time.

thanks guy's. that is what i've been thinking. gotto get a hold of the tech school instructor, and see when he can get miss daisy in the shop she still needs the carbs done and rear breaks blead.then hope fully she'll be ready for riding. if there isn't anything major wrong. thank's agian for the advice.

Cost is a bit high. Both nice bikes though. I'm a bit in another camp. If you can afford them they can sit off to the side until you get the 79 roadworthy. I think the first twofer deal was much better though.
